General Cornwallis surrenders to Washington at Yorktown
General Cornwallis surrenders 8,000 British troops and sailors to a French American force at Yorktown ending the American Revolution. -
Peace Treaty Signed ending the American Revolution recognizing US independence
It ended the revolutionary war between the United States of America and Great Britain. It also recognized Americas independence.
