This event is important because it closed the Boston harbor for all shipping until the city paid for everything that they destroyed. But only thesee acts made them more interested in their resistance against the British Empire and more into defending their rights and liberties. -
Convocation of the First Continental Congress
This event is important because they made sure to boycott British goods and ban export of the American goods to Britain if they refused to repeal to the Intolerable Acts. -
Battles of Lexington and Concord
It was considered the first of the American Revolution battles. It was the first fought by the patriots against the British in which major warfare occurred.The British could not do that they wantedd and also had to respect their lives, liberties and private property at the same time. -
Adoption of the Declaration of Independence
This event is important because it proclaimed the 13 colonies independent from the British Empire. -
Battles of Saratoga
This battle isimportant because it encouraged France openly accepted to support the Americans against Britain. The British was surrounded by a bigger Army. By October 17, the British commander John Burgoyne accepted lost and gaveup. -
Surrender of Yorktown
This is important because when they surrender they practically won the American War of Independence.
