On April 19, the British arrived at Lexington where a battle broke out. The British then continued to Concord and burned what was left. The militiamen headed to Concord's North Bridge where British soldiers resided, resulting in a battle. The British headed back to Boston, but were attacked by militiamen. They attempted to retreat, but failed.
