Treaty of Paris signed
The Treaty of Paris ended the American revolutionary War. American statesman negotiated the peace treaty with Great Britain. The signing signified America's status as a free nation. -
Stamp Act of 1765
The tax was imposed by all American colonists and requested them to pay tax on every piece of printed paper they used. -
Sons Of Liberty
There most famous leader was Bostons Samual Adams. He was a cousin of John Adams. In August of 1765 a mob lead by the sons of liberty tore down the office and destroyed the house of the stamp tax collector. -
Boston Massacre
March 1770, a group of colonists hurled snowballs and and rocks at British soldiers guarding the Customs House. The soldiers fired in the crowd killing 5 colonist. -
Boston Tea Party
Boston patriots took matters in there own hands. They boarded three ships laden with tea and dumped the tea into the harbor.

First Continental Congress meets
The First Continental Congress met in Carpenters Hall in Philadelphia. Delegates from each of the 13 colonies except for Georgia met to organize colonial resistance to parliament's Coercive Acts.

A German battle. There was 9,000 British Troops at Yorktown. Virginia in the most important battle of the Revolutionary War. -
End of Battle of Yorktown
The American colonists won. The British surrendered. The British army was overran and the American Revolutionary war was over. -

An agreement that large and small states reached during the Constitutional Convention of 1787.
