The Battle of Saratoga was an American victory. It was very important because it was the turning point of the war and convinced France and eventually Spain to ally with the Americans. The Battle of Camden
American General Gates was the general at Saratoga, and he took all the credit for it. He thought he could prove he was the best general at Camden. Surrender at Yorktown
British General Cornwallis surrendered at Yorktown. This was important because Cornwallis had 8,000 men when he surrendered.
