French and indian war
The french and indian war was a war over land. When french got very close to the colonies and this started a war because of how close they got. The British won the war and it ended with a treaty. this war led to a bunch of taxes and eventually the American revolution. -

it was the treaty at the end of the french and indian war. This treaty at the end of the war was a win for the British and a bunch of giant taxes for the colonists. This treaty gave the colonies a bunch of land too. -
proclamation of 1763
this proclamation was when britain would not let people keep moving west. people that moved west then had to go and move back east because the british would come and move you. The British owned west of the line and still didn't let anyone go west. This led to a lot of people in the towns and there was too many people in some towns. -
Stamp act
This stamp act made a tax on all printed items. It made it where printed materials in the colonies would be printed in london on stamped paper. the printed materials must have a tax stamp on the printed material. -
Boston massacre
The Boston massacre was a riot of colonists that were mad about what the british have been doing. The riot started with a fight but then turned to violence once a soldier got hit with something. This made an outrage in the colonies and this spread to the entire colonies untill everyone knew what happened. -
Boston tea party
The Boston tea party was when colonists dressed up as native americans and threw a bunch of tea off of ships. the tea came from the east india company. This was caused because of the tax on tea the british had. It outraged the colonists to go do this. -
intolerable acts
These were laws passed to punish the colonists for the boston tea party. This led to a bunch of new laws and they closed the boston port. The british would not let them get anymore tea. They made soldiers go stay in the colonies. -
battles of lexington and concord
These were the first battles of the revolutionary war. It was fought in massachusetts bay. We used jungle warfare to try to take out the british and they had no clue what was going on. -
battle of bunker hill
a battle fought in charles town massachusetts. The british had 1000 enemy troops while there were 100 colonists. 200 died 800 were wounded. -
battle of trenton
a small battle in trenton new jersey. This battle was won by the Americans on christmas day. 22 were killed and only 75 -
publication of common sense
common sense was a document wrote by Thomas paine and was meant for the colonists. This document convinced people to break apart from great britain. It told you why you should and made them feel mad about what the laws were and how great britain was treating them. -
declaration of independence
This was a break up letter to the king to tell him right from wrong and that they were becoming their own county. the king didn't care about the document he sent over more troops to keep the colonies in check. when this declaration was made it showed the colonists it is time to break away. -
battle of saratoga
this was a war won by the americans. This was a turning point in the war. In this war 440 were killed 695 were wounded. -
Valley Forge
This was a camp for the colonists army. they stayed in this camp for the winter. It was a rough time in the revolutionary war. They were hit by small pox and had to vaccinate people. a lot of people died but the ones who were not sick took advantage to practice on their fighting. -
battle of cowpens
the battle of cowpens was fought in South Carolina. The british won this war after battling hard. 110 people died 200 wounded 500 people were captured. -
battle of yorktown
this was a battle that took place in yorktown virginia. America won this war after the british surrendered. 88 people were killed and 301 were wounded in battle. -
treaty of paris
This treaty led to the end of the revolutionary war. this gave Americans their freedom and made them a new country. This was when we won and beat the best army and navy in the world. This led to the creation of the United states.
