In 1773, a group of Massachusetts patriots, protesting the monopoly on tea importation, seized 342 chests of tea and threw them into Boston harbor. -

The Intolerable Acts or Coercive Acts was a series of Acts passed by the British Parliament, many colonists saw this as a violation to their rights. -
Lexington Concord
British soldiers marched on the town of Lexington. Massachusets to capture some hidden guns.After fighting broke out, the British troops continued to concord, but minutemen fired at them from behind rocks and tree. By the end of the day, minutemen had killed 273 British soldiers. -

George Washington was given control of the American army the day before the Battle at Bunker Hill. -
