Sugar Act
The tax makers placed taxes on sugar, wine, and other important goods. They only did this for more money that they needed. The Americans then started to boycott and stop buying wine, sugar, and other goods and made them or traded from nieghbors. They also did this to lower tax on molasses -
Stamp Act
This was made to gain money for the king and placed tax on playing cards, newspapers, medicines, contracts, mortages, etc. All of the items have to be stamped to show they they where bought taxed -
Bostan Massacre
Men from the British army came to America to settle things out and it got carried away so the British shot 5 of the Americans dead and several wounded when only ond man from the British army was barley wounded -
The Revolutionary War begins
At this day the famous revolutionary war just began between the
colonists (early americans) and the Great Britins (the British). It began becuase the people where not paying taxes and the king was loosing lots of money so the British came to strike with war. -
The Gun Shot
One man (no one knows his name) took shot a bullet that started the was. At the end when the Minute Men ran away seven where left dead and only one man from the British was left inujured in the stomach. -
Tea Act
They priced really high taxes on tea so the Americans then decided to grow there own tea and do lots of boycotting for this. Also tea was smuggled in. -
Boston Tea Party
The Americans where really angry on how they taxed tea so they went in secretly to three ships and took all of the tea and dumped it into the water to show how much they wanted the Tea Act to go away. -
Quartering Act
The British made this act to stop people from the Boston massecre do what they where doing. -
Battle of Bunker Hill
The British surrounded the Americans trying to attack them with 1200 men and the American colonies barley knew about this. The British eventually won the war with 800 wounded and 226 killed. -
The War Ends
This is the ending of the amazing 4 months 14 days and 8 years ended from when the British general Cornwallis surrendered to the patriots and the French navy had him surrounded ay Yorktown. He signed the declaration giving us independence.
