King George needed to pay for the outcome of the French - Indian War. During that time, it was taxed with sugar and wine. They also forced the colonists to pay the taxes with sugar and wine and that made the colonists angry so the colonists decided to boycott -
Stamp Act
In 1765, the tax changed from sugar to paper. So they made stamps and it had to be shown on paper so that it is shown that it has been purchased. -
The Boston Massacre
It all started when the colonists began to pick on the British soldiers and calling them names. The British soldiers got angry and they started to shoot at the crowd. About 5 people were killed during that massacre and one of them is named Crispus Attucks who was the first African - American to die during that massacre. -
The Boston Tea Party
It started when tax had to be represented with tea so when the British came to collect taxes, they brought a lot of crates of tea onto their ship. The colonists disguised as Indians and board the ship and dumped a lot of their crates back to the Boston Harbour
