Britain did not allow anyone to settle beyond the Appalachian Mountains. The colonist felt this was the British's first act of trying to control them. -

The British taxed sugar, which caused the colonist to smuggle sugar and or boycott againt the British. -
The Currency Act passed
British parliment said the colonies currency lost its value. So they banned them from issing paper bills and bills of credit. The colonies were stuck without say. -
The Stamp Act is passed
The colonies felt they were being treated unfairly because they had to pay taxes without the say in the government. -
Quartering Act was passed
The British forced the colonies to allow soliders to live with them without their permission. This was an invasion of the colonist privacy. -
Sons and Daughters of liberty
Colonist fought back imposing non-importation agreements. -
Boston Massacre
The colonies were abused by British soliders for no reason. The British soilders only killed five colonist at this Massacre. -
The Tea Act was passed
The colonies felt they were being treated unfairly because tea was the most common drink at the time. -
Boston Tea Party
The colonies responded with the Boston Tea Party.Where they demolished British cargo and dumped tea in the sea. -
The Intolerable Acts were passed
This Act was made as a punishment for the colonies Boston Tea Party actions.
