Sugar Acts
The Sugar Act put taxes on sugar and molasses. -
Stamp Act
The stamp act put a tax on documents, cards, bills and letters. -
Townshend Acts
This act put taxes on glass, paint, oil, lead, paper and tea. -
Boston Massacre
A street fight between a "patriot" mob and a squad of British soldiers. Several colonists were killed and it led to a campaign speech-writers. -
Boston Tea Party
Dressed as indians; a group of townspeople went down to the docks and dumped 342 chests of tea from the ships to rebel against the taxes the British put on tea. -
Intolerable Acts
These 5 acts were passed through out the year of 1774. The Intolerable acts were suppose to be a punishment for the Boston Tea Party, and they greatly angered the colonists. It also led the colonists to create The First Continental Congress. -
Lexington and Concord
The first battle of the Revolutionary War. The Britsh won. -
Bunker Hill
The second battle of the Revolutionary War. The patriots had to quickly retreat. They only had 1,600 men while the British had 2,600 men, -

Declaration of Independence
Te public act by which the Second Continental Congress, on July 4, 1776, declared the Colonies to be free and independent of England. -
Battle of Trenton
George Washington invades and attacks the Hessians. -
Ticonderoga
A battle in New York. About 7,200 British and Hessian troops agaisnt 3,000 American. The British quickly won.
