    A very known author was Mark Twain. He was the man who published The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.

  • Puritans 1800-1860

    This is the time when they settle in New England. The puritans also belived in being very wealthy. So they fought to stay wealthy.

  • The age of Realism 1880-1914

    In this time period the United States was given new life from the imigration and westward expansion. Then thousands of Americans expanded different jobs westward.

  • The Moderns 1914-1934

    The world War I made lots of changes for the Americans. It had people changing their traditions and spirtiual view. It was said that we stayed nuetral until 1917.

  • The Civil war era and its aftermath 1850-1890

    This is the time where the Civil war took place. Even during this time African Americans were still in the struggle of freedom.
