  • 15th Amendment

    This amendment allowed anyone to vote. It didn't matter about race or color. Women could still not vote.
  • Assassination of Franz Ferdinand

    Franz was assassinated to break off Austria-Hungary's south-Slav provinces. This event lead to WW1.
  • The completion of the Panama Canal

    When the Panama Canal was first completed it made it easier to tansfer goods. Theodore Rossevelt was the president that pushed for the Panama Canal even though it was illegal.
  • U.S. Entry into WW1

    After Germany attacked a boat with Americans on it, Wilson tried to remain nuetral. After Germany kept on sinking American ships with U-Boats, America got in the war.
  • Treaty of Verallies

    ThIs treaty ended WW1. This stated that Germany was responsible for causing the war. Germany also had to give up some of its territory
  • 19th Amendments

    This bill made it legal for women to vote. Susan B. Anthony was a major contributor to giving women rights to vote.
  • Hitler Invades Poland

    When Hitler invaded Poland this started WW1. Russia was attacking from one side and Germany was attacking from the other side.
  • Japan attacks Pearl Harbor

    Japan had planned a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor to weaken the United States so that we didn't join the war. The result is that we entered the war and stopped Japan.
  • Executive order 9066

    This executive order was to detain all Japanese decesendents to be relocated. This was given under the order of Franklin D. Roosevelt.
  • First Atomic Bomb in Japan

    The fisrt bombed dropped was on Hiroshima. It was significant because the city was both an industrial and military importance.
  • Second bomb dropped on Japan

    After the Japanese didn't surrender from the first bomb, we dropped another one. We dropped it one Nagasaki.
  • First U.S. military advisors were sent into Vietnam

    The U.S. sent adivisors to trian with the South Vietnamese Army. The US didn't want communism to take over.
  • March on Washington

    This march was for equal rights for civil and economics. This was the largest political rallies. Also Martin Luther King gave his I Have A Dream speech.
  • John F. Kennedy assassinated

    When John F. Kennedy was in office he was trying to pass laws to make America better but he was assassinated before he could. Lee Harvey Oswald was accused of killing Kennedy.
  • First combat troops sent to Vietnam

    The first combat troopes arrived in Vietnam to defend the US airfield. No marines were injured.
  • Martin Luther King assassinated

    After he accomplished so much for equal rights he was assassinated. He inspired so many people with his speeches.
  • Vietnam War Ends

    After 2 years the US left Vietnam, South Vietnam fell to North Vietnam. Even today Vietnam is still Communist.
  • U.S. supports Afghanistan from invasion of the Soviet Union

    The U.S. helped, armed,a nd trained the Afghan soldiers to fight the Soviet Union. The US fought the USSR to get out of Afghanistan to stop the Domino Effect of communism.
  • U.N. begins bombing against Iraq to withdraw from Kuwait

    Dys after Iraq invaded Kuwait the UN put scations against Iraq to leave.The UN reacted to this because Saddam Huessain wouldn't leave Kuwait. This was called Desert Shield.
  • U.N. resolution 678

    This was to tell Iraq to leave Kuwait by a certain time. If Iraq didn't leave then the US had legal rights to force Iraq out.
  • U.N. declares victory in the Persian Gulf War

    In two months the Iraq army was stopped from invading Kuwait. Saddam Huessain wanted Kuwait to take over the oil wells to pay off his dept.
