    Congress passes Reconstruction Act
    Congress passed a series of acts to address the question of rights, and how the Southern states would be governed. The acts were the Lincoln Reconstruction Plan, and the Initial Congressional Plan, the Andrew Johnson Reconstruction Plan, and the Radical Republican Reconstruction Plan. According to Zinn Education, These divided the former Confederate states except Tennessee into 5 military districts. Impact, African American slave males were allowed to vote, beginning the increase in civ. rights.

    Development of the west (women's suffrage in Wyoming)
    On December 10th, 1869. Wyoming became the first place in the United States where women had the right to vote. There was a shortage of women out west and they hoped that the right to vote would attract more women. According to history.com, the territory had over 6,000 adult males and only 1,000 females. 6 men for every woman. The impact was that it was a trendsetter that spread among the country giving more rights to women.

This brought more people to live in the city for a better standard of life. The impact is advancements in innovation and communication.

    The Dawes Act was passed on February 2nd, 1887, under President Grover Cleveland, which allowed the federal government to break up tribal lands. According to NPS.gov, The federal government aimed to assimilate Native Americans into mainstream US society by encouraging them towards farming and agriculture, which meant dividing tribal lands into individual plots. The impact of it was the loss of culture, land, and language. This ended with the government who then sold their land to U.S citizens.

    Henry Ford's assembly line in manufacturing cars was innovative as was the invention of steel. According to Ford, the Company implemented the moving assembly line in the manufacturing of cars. By 1913 it was a success. What made this assembly line unique was the movement element. The use of the moving assembly line allowed for the work to be taken to workers rather than the worker moving to and around the vehicle which made the work faster as is true in today's manufacturing plants.
