    As a face of peace, perserverance, adn racial equality, the loss of Martin Luther King sent shockwaves throughout the country. He received the Nobel Peace Prize four years before his tragic death. He gave his final speech the day before he was assasinated. This civil rights leader was shot and killed on the balcony t the Lorraine Hotel in Memphis, Tenn.
