With permission from Russia, North Korea invades South Korea and continues on to the capital of Seoul. South Korea does not have a strong enough army to stop it. -
The U.S. takes hold of Inchon
General Douglas MacArthur leads an invasion into South Korea at the city of Inchon. From there, the United Nations troops go to Seoul and take it back from North Korea. -
China joins the Korean War
China joins the war to fight on the side of North Korea. China's army, called the People's Volunteer Army, wins several important victories and pushes the U.S. and South Korean troops back across the 38th parallel. -
The Battle of Heartbreak Ridge begins
American and French troops start a battle with North Korean and Chinese troops in a part of South Korea known as the Punchbowl. The U.S. and France win the month-long battle. Over 25,000 Chinese and North Korean soldiers die. -
North Korea and South Korea agree to a truce
North Korea and South Korea sign an agreement to stop fighting. Korea is still divided, but the two countries agree to create a neutral zone called the Demilitarized Zone to separate the countries. -

Ngo Dinh Diem regime is Overthrown
The North Vietnamese assasinated him after the United States decided to not support Ngo Dinh Diem because we supported what he believed but we did not support the way that he treated his people so we stopped supporting him and not long after was he was assasinated by the NVA. -
Ia Drang Valley
It was the first major engagement between the United States and the North Vietnamese. It lasted about 4 days and it was one of the battles that we won using New tactics such as, Search and Destroy, and the use of helocopters to fly in and out of the battle fields delivering troops and amunition. -
Tet Offensive
Was the largest and most agressive attack from the NVA during the Vietnam war, where they attacked about 100 differnet towns and cities. -
My Lia Massecre
The United States Soldiers were told to go into this town and take out the NVA soldiers there but they ended up doing much more such as killing inoccent women and children and also rapping some of the women. -
Vietnamization
The President ordered that the South Vietnamese be trained in the military tactics of the United States so that the United States could finally leave Vietnam. -
Kent State University
On the Kent State Campus were college students protesting against the war and then the national guard showed up and started to through tear gas. there must have been something wrong with the tear gas cause it wasn't working so the college students threw them back then the National Guard started to fire and killed 4 and wounded many others -
26th Amendment Ratified
The United States changed the voting right to those 18 and older could now vote as long as they were US citizens so that they could have a say in those who sent them to Vietnam. -
We Get out
The Soldiers are finally going back home and leaving South Vietnam to fight against the NVA. -
Siagon Falls to the North Vietnamese
Not long after the United States left Vietnam Notrht vietnam took over the capital of South Vietnam and renamed it to Ho Chi Minh City -
Saddam Hussein Invades Kuwait
Saddam Hussein invades because he accuses Kuwait of taking crude oil. He demands that Kuwait's debt be paid, and he claims that Kuwait is not a "real" country. -
United Nations Helping out
The United Nations asks iraqu to withdrawl from Kuwait. The United Nations gives them till January 15, 1991 to withdrawl. -
Hussein denies
Hussein does not withdraw his troop from Kuwait. -
Operation Desert Storm
The United Nations knowns that Hussein doesn't leave and does't plan on leaving, so The United Nations starts to put troops into Saudi Arabia, because, they had lots of oil reserves and they didn't want Hussein to invade for the oil. Norman Schwarzkopf uses Stealth Bombers, Cruise Missiles, Smart Bombs and night Bombing equipment. -

The ground offensice begins. Storm Kuwait and the southern part of Iraq. -
Battle ends
The battle lasted 42 days from January 15th to February 28th. The firing ceased. Treaty was made: The recognization of Kuwait as a country, and to get rid of all WMD's (Weapons of Mass Destruction) -

Somolia was in the middle of a famine and stavation. There was a Warlord who made it so that the poeple of Somolia would starve to death by taking their food. -

The Warlord Adid, gets bold and starts to attack soldiers.. 24 pakistani solders killed and 44 wounded in the attack. -
Response to bold Attackes
U.S. attacked Adid compound by helicopter... Adid was no tkilled but was very angery that the United States attacked his compound. In return Adid killed 4 western journalist and are displayed for all to see -
Its Now time for Adid
The United States went in to take Adid and remove him from leadership. Plans go wrong Adid is killed during the exctraction and many United States soldiers are injured and killed. -
