    This war started because the French thought the Ohio River was theirs for a trading route but the Native Americans didn't think so. They had this war from 1754 to 1763 and the British ended up winning the war.

    The British passed the “Stamp Act” to help pay for their troops stationed in the colonies during the Seven Years War. The act required the colonists to pay a tax on various forms of papers, documents, and playing cards, by a stamp.

    The Sons of Liberty were established in 1765 but was dissolved in 1776. Their Allies were the Patriot Revolutionaries, the 5 SoL had Notable Attacks on Gaspee Affair, The Boston Tea Party, and John Malcolm.

    This Act was made to help pay the expenses involved in governing the American colonies. The people didn't really like this that much because they didn't want to pay Taxes.

    A deadly riot that happened on King Street in Boston that started with a Street Brawl between American colonists and a British Soldier. 5 men died that day with the captain and his soldiers freed of all charges.

    A political protest/raid that happened with British Parliament's Tea Act in 1773. American colonists all were frustrated and angry at Britain for imposing “taxation without representation,” and then dumped 342 chests of tea from British east India Company into the harbor.

    The OBP was adopted by Congress on July 5th, 1775 to be sent to the King as a last attempt to prevent a war from happening. The OBP emphasized their loyalty to the British crown and emphasized their rights as British citizens.

    This was Thomas Paine's words that said "America should be Independent from the British!" It also showed that he didn't want a war with the British.

    The Founding Fathers adopted the Declaration of Independence on July 4th, 1776. It was engrossed on parchment paper and on August 2nd, the fathers began signing it.

    Articles of Confederation created
    The Articles were adopted to serve as the United States' first constitution. It was in forced from March 1, 1781, until 1789.
  • Battle of Yorktown

    Battle of Yorktown
    It's also known as the German Battle. The battle was non-stop for weeks, Washington was against Cornwallis. It took three weeks until Cornwallis surrender to Washington, ending the battle with George being the victor.
  • Treaty of Paris Signed

    Treaty of Paris Signed
    The Treaty of Paris was signed by U.S. and British Representatives on September 3, 1783, ending the War of the American Revolution. The agreement recognized U.S. independence and granted the U.S. territory.

    Their so-called "Great Compromise", that was about Connecticut, provided a dual system of congressional representation in the House of Representatives.
