The Native Americans Offended the British Colonists.
Many people died from the war that lasted 9 years.
Not many people could react after the war but some people were in shock. -
Proclamation of 1763
The proclamation was created to organize Great Britain's new North American Empire and also stabilize relationships with the Native Americans.
The Proclamation was good for the colonists because they could continue trading with the Indians and be able to trust them.
They were excited because they thought that they would have to fight indians and lose. -
Sugar Act
Reason: The British placed a tax on sugar, wine, and other important things. They did this because they wanted more money. -

Limited certain goods getting shipped in and out of the country.

Reason: in an attempt to assert what it considered to be its historic right to exert authority over the colonies through suspension of a recalcitrant representative assembly. -

Reason: The Boston Massacre was the growing mistrust among the British soldiers and Americans. -
Tea Act
Reason: Raise revenue in the American colonies. And, in fact imposed no new taxes. -

Was a shadow government created by the Patriot Leaders.

1st Continental Congress
Reason: The colonists were upset that the king had made taxes on everything and had performed other grievances to the colonists.
How the Colonists Reacted: The colonists all wanted different things, however most of them wanted either to make amends with England or to separate from England. -
Quebec Act
Quebec’s Territory was expanded, Instead of being protestant, they were catholic now,
They had a new religion and more space.

Reason: The colonists weren’t happy about some of the King’s laws.

Battle of Quebec
The Battle of Quebec happened because shortly after the American Revolutionary War broke out in April 1775, a small enterprising force Benedict Arnold captured the key fortress at Ticonderoga alarming the British of a possible invasion of Quebec. -
Quartering Act
Reason: To give the military better pay and quarters.
How This Affected the Colonists: The colonists had to give food and a bed to the british soldiers.
How the Colonists Reacted: The colonists protested against this act. -
Prohibitory Act
Reason: Because the colonists had attacked the british troops England prohibited trade with them.
How This Affected the Colonists: The colonists economy was affected because they could no longer trade with England. -
Battle of Lexington and Concord
Reason: The regulars were going to Lexington and Concord to seize ammunition and John Hancock and Sam Adams. They were confronted by the Colony’s minutemen who had already been warned by Paul Revere.
How This Affected the Colonists: The colonists went to war with England after that battle because they fought back.
How the Colonists Reacted: The colonists attacked the regulars from behind trees, in ditches, etc. -
2nd Contenintal Congress
Reason: The king of England went to war with the colonists and refused to allow peaceful
negotiations.
How This Affected the Colonists: The colonists were being attacks by England and had to go to another Continental Congress.
How the Colonists Reacted: The colonists started a continental army to fight England. -
Battle of Bunker Hill
Reason: The colonists were going there so that they could bombard the british ships and towns.
How This Affected the Colonists: The colonists killed many british soldiers that battle which helped them gain confidence even though the hill was taken.
How the Colonists Reacted: The colonists fought at the hill although some of them fled. -

Reason: The British wanted to limit New England’s trade with other countries.
How This Affected the Colonists: The New England economy was greatly affected in a bad way.
