    Intimacy vs Isolation
    Amelia (24) and Roman are engaged because they love each other and they want to take their relationship to the next level, Erikson's sixth stage, intimacy vs isolation, the crisis is between becoming emotionally close to others in committed relationships (intimacy) or staying single and not committing to anyone (isolation).
  • Generativity vs Stagnation

    Generativity vs Stagnation
    Amelia (29) and Roman have been happily married and now feel like it's the perfect time to have children. They feel like they are capable of being responsible parents. In Erikson's seventh stage, generatively vs stagnation, this stage focuses on childbearing and child rearing. Amelia and Roman want to do everything and care for their children to be (generativity).
  • Ego Integrity vs Despair

    Ego Integrity vs Despair
    Amelia died surrounded by her loving husband and children. When she looked back at her life, she experienced happiness. Amelia is happy because she has led a meaningful and satisfying life. In Erikson's eight stage, ego integrity vs despair, Amelia looked back at her life with a sense of contentment and face the end of life with a sense of wisdom and no regret (ego integrity).
