Chile Challenge
The racers will participate in the PILGRIMAGE (voluntary by an adherent to a sacred site to pay respects or participate in a ritual at the site) on bikes from the airport on Route 68 to the SACRED SITE (place or space people infuse with religious meaning) of Lo Vasquez sanctuary in Valparaiso. They will arrive at the sanctuary aroumd 1:25. They will participate in the CHRISTIANITY RELIGION (Based on the teachings of Jesus.) and will attend mass at the church until 2:30 -
Taxi to Saniago Airport
The racers will take a taxi at 2:30 from the Lo Vasquez sanctuary to the Santiago Airport and will arrive at 3:34 -

The racers will check into the Holiday Inn at the Santiago Airport at 3:35 -

The racers will board the 9:00 TAM airlines flight to Brazil. They will arrive at Rio International Airport at 1:05. -
Taxi to Maré
The racers will take a taxi to the favela, Maré at 1:08. They will arrive at 1:12 -
Taxi to hotel
The racers will take a taxi at 10:00 from the favela to the Arena Copacabana Hotel. They will arrive at 10:10. -

The racers will check into their Superior Room around 10:10 upon arrival. -

Brazil Challenge
The racers will arrive at the DISAMENITY SECTOR (The very poorest parts of cities) at favela Maré and will spend until 10:00 with Luiz Carlos Souza and his family in his home. They will experience and be one with the LOCAL CULTURE (Group of people in a particular place who see themselves as a collective or a community) of the favela. This challenge will open the racers eyes to the fact that Brazil is still DEVELOPING (Making progress in technology, production, and socioeconomic welfare). -

Flight to South Africa
The racers will board the TAM airlines flight to São Paulo at 9:00. They will arive at 10:16. -
Layover at São Paulo
The flight will land at São Paulo at 10:16. The layover lasts 1 hour and 45 minutes and will conclude at 11:01 a.m. when the racers board the South African Airlines flight from São Paulo to Johannesburg. -

South Africa Challenge
The racers will meet with the people of the Ramunangi CULTURE (The sum total of the knowledge, attitudes, and habitual behaviors shared and transmitted by the members of a society) and will first witness their CUSTOM (Practice routinely followed by a group of people) of offering grain and beer to the spirits of Phiphidi Falls. Then they will accompany and assist the Ramunangi people with cleaning up all the SOLID WASTE (Non-liquid, non-soluble materials) left behind by unwanted visitors. -

The racers will take a taxi to the airport at 5:45 to catch a flight at 10:00. The drive will take 4 hours. -
Flight to Dubai
The racers will board the Emirates Air flight to Dubai at 10:00. They will sleep on the plane for they will arrive in Dubai at 7:50 a.m. -

Taxi to Cricket Stadium
The racers will take a taxi at 7:52 to The Dubai Cricket Stadium. They will arrive at 7:56. -
Dubai Challenge
The racers will have to play a one day match of cricket. This challenge will allow the racers to experience and be a part or Dubai POP CULTURE (cultural traits that are part of today's urban-based, media-influenced society) and to experience the SENSE OF PLACE (State of mind derived through the infusion of a place with meaning and emotion) of the particular SITE (The internal physical attributes of a place, including its absolute location, its spatial character and physical setting). -

Greece Challenge
The racers arrive at the popular ACTIVITY SPACE (space within which daily activity occurs), the Plaka. For the challenege, they will have 4 hours to run around and volunteer as the waiter/waitress at 1 restaurant, make 1 souvenir in a souvenir shop, and perform with 1 street performer. This challenge will let the racers see and experience the ancient CULTURAL TRAITS (elements of practice in a culture) and FOLK CULTURE (cultural traits of usually small, traditional communities) -
