Germany invaded Poland. Poland succumbed to Germany after 18 days, then Germany conquered Poland. -
Jews move to new ghetto
all the remaining Jews were forced to pack their stuff and move to the newly formed ghetto -
Jews were assigned jobs
All able-bodied Jews were assigned specific jobs from the Germans. -
Jews are separated
The Jews in the ghetto are separated into those to die and those to go to concentration camps. Gerda is sent to Sonsowitz. -
Bolkenhain
Gerda is sent to a camp called Bolkenhain to work. -
Märzdorf
The girls of Sosnowitz are divided into groups to go to 2 camps, Mäzdorf and Lnadeshut, Gerda is sent to Mäzdorf. -

Gerda finds out Germnay is being invaded by Allies -
Marching to Helmbrechts
a camp is divided into two groups and marches to another concentration camp -
March to Helmbechts end
The survivers of the Helmbechts march arrived to Helmbecht and a month later were forced to march again. -
Entering Volary and the Americans
The survivors of the march are locked in a factory in Volary with a bomb outside. The bomb does not go off, however, and the Czech people unlock the doors announcing that the war is over.
