was important in that it made addresses on the Internet more human-friendly compared to its numerical IP address counterparts.
DNS servers allowed Internet users to type in an easy-to-remember domain name and then converted it to the IP address
automatically. -

Then, Olivetti needed to make an enterance to compete with the almighty American computers, so the CEO decided that they should make a smaller, more compatible computer to everyday living. In this computer, people could do what they could on the last computer, copy files, type, and make calculations and tables on it. As a result of not a lot of storage space on the computer, Olivetti made the revolutionary floppy disk. -

Archie became popular because due to the public using the World Wide Web as choice, they needed it to be a lot easier to surf the web to find out what the person is looking for, which is how Archie surfaced. -

Yahoo! was created
Yahoo! David Filo and Jerry Yang created Yahoo as a collection of their favorite websites. As people started to use it, Mr. Filo and Mr. Yang then decided that they needed to make it a "searchable dictionary" and revised the website. Ultimately, this is a search engine that makes it easy to surf the web and find everything that the user wants. -
Dogpile was created

Youtube first arrived
Youtube first arrivedYoutube, a popular website, is founded by Chad Hurley, Jawed Karim and Steve Chen in 2005. This website is for sharing videos without much hassle. It became one of the web's fastest growing sites and became one of the top ten most popular website in 2006. -

Bing, another search engine that came after google started, although it was under a different name and was called MNS Search and Window Live Search in 1998; however, it really did come out in 2009. It was created and was presented to us by Steve Blammer, a CEO of Microsoft. Bing now powers Yahoo! search. -

The first emoticon was used. While many people credit Kevin MacKenzie with the invention of
the emoticon in 1979, it was Scott Fahlman in 1982 who proposed using :-) after a joke, rather than the original -) proposed by
MacKenzie.
