Purpose- It directed the trade between the colonies and Englend Outcome- It upset the colonists because the colonists wanted to trade with other countrys and make more money so they began smuggling -

Purpose- It set the Appalachian mountains as a temporary western boarder Outcome- It made colonists mad because some speculators had already claimed land west of the Appalachian mountains -
Sugar act
Purpose- It lowered the tax on imported molasses It angered the colonisrs because thay said it violated there rights as english citizens -
Stamp Act
Purpose- It placed a tax on almost all printed paper even newspapers Outcome- Colonists would not use the stamps and would boycott British and Euoropean goods -
Declaratory act
Purpose- Stated that the parlament had the right to tax and make the disitions for the colonies "in all cases" Outcome- The colonists didnt like havining to be taked when ever parlament felt like -
Townshend Act
Purpose- It put a tax on goods such as glass, tea, and paper with the tax being paid at the port of entry Outcome- The colonists belived only there representitive themself could taxs them -
Tea Act
Purpose- Allowed the company a virtural monopoly of the trade for tea in america Outcome- Colonist vowed to stop the East india companys ships from unloaing which led to the Boston Tea Party -
Quebec Act
Purpose- It set up a government for Quebec Outcome- It ignored colonial claims to the area -
Coercive Acts
Purpose- It closed Boston Harbor until the massachusets colonists paid for the ruined tea Outcome- It prevented the arrival of food and other goods and supplies that would normaly come by ships
