I was born in my beautiful Puerto Rico
I was born on October 24th, 1981 in Rio Piedras city and was raised on a Spanish only enviroment until I was 7 years old (2nd grade). -
I moved to New Bedford Massachussets
In 1988 my parents moved to New Bedford, Massachussets where I entered my second grade in an English only classroom. These two years are the base for my second language deveopment. I lived there for 2 whole school years, 2nd and 3rd grade. -
We move back to PR
In 1999, my family comes back to PR and I studied from my 5th grade until I finish High Scool in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico. I made great progress in my language development. I made friends with students who also spoke English and also watched English TV and that helped me grow in my understanding of English. -
I went to College to Study English Teacher
In 1999 I enter College to study English Teacher. But later on I change up my concentration to Preschool and Primary K-3 level Teacher. This helped my English a lot because I had an excelent Professor called Craig Barge who taught me well and inspired me to be the teacher I am today. And this experience also gave me the opportinity to meet my husband who is an English Teacher, -
Bilingual Certification
In 2012 I start studying for a Bilingual Certification in order to specialize in bilingual teaching.
