Carrier created Air Conditioner
Willis Carrier created his own ideas of making air conditioners, first by submitting drawings of it on this day. Carrier wanted to put an end to heat problems. He planned to circulate cold water, which later lead to a success. His invention(which he called the "Apparatus for treating Air", was able to control
temperatures,humidity, and air circulation.

Carrier's invention name
Cramer advanced Carrier's technology and came up with a good name for his invention, since he was an experienced business man. He introduced humidity control and ventilating equipment for cotton mills where he worked out. This lead him to creating an idea of the term "air conditioning." 1st Air conditioner in house
Carrier installed his 1st air conditioner in a Minneapolis mansion. It was seven feet high and 20 feet wide.The air conditioner was so noisy because of its huge mass and it caused the wall of the mansion to shake causing the inhabitants of the home to leave it. This innovation of big size was not preferred by people, because its huge sound caused a distraction for everyone.

General Electric (GE) company introduces the first refrigerator to be mass produced.Its nickname was "The Monitor Top" for its distinctive round refrigerating unit.The Air condioner was first used in this refrigerator.The refrigerator is produced over the next 10 years and is so reliable that thousands are still in use today.

Major buildings with A.C
Chamber of the House of Representatives, the Senate, the White House, the Executive Office Building, and the Department of Commerce were air-conditioned. The innovation from previous years was that the air conditioner became smaller and less noiser. This is a reason why it was able to be accepted to be in these major buildings as well as keeping it cool.
