In 1989, the CDC (U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), reported that the number of infected people had increase a lot, in a period of nine years, according to their estimate, there were 100,000 people infected with the virus. -
Major Killer in the United States
AIDS becomes the main cause for death of people from 25 to 44 years old in the United States of America. According to WHO (World Health Organization), 500,000 people had now been infected by the virus in the United States. -

A new report on the number of people who were infected was done by UNAIDS (the Joint United Nations Program on AIDS), they estimated that 30 million adults and children’s had been affected by the virus HIV worldwide. It also said that according to their research, there was a high probability of 16000 people getting infected by the disease each day. -

In 2005, the WHO reported the AIDS infection probability in the Sub-Saharan Africa. They preview that probably 3.5 million people will infected by the end of the year. Also an epidemic claims the lives of around 2.4 million Africans. The WHO also mentioned that by the end of the year 700,000 people would have access to antiretroviral drugs. -

In 2007, CDC made a sad report about AIDS, since the first case of AIDS in 1981, there has been around 565,000 deaths only in the USA. Also it was mentioned that the number of incidents are increasing at a very significant rate, this can be seen, as before the estimates of infected people per year were of 40,000, unfortunately this number increased to 56,300 infected humans per year, only in the USA. -
East Asia has a significant increase in the number of infected people
In 2009, the number of infected people with AIDS has started to decrease in the USA, as there has been more and more campaigns about the preventions and risks of the disease AIDS, people are taking more care when having any relationship with someone else, and this resulted in a decrease of 17%. In other places of the world, for example East Asia, there has been an increase of 25% in the number of cases; this is serious, as the government will have to take severe actions to decrease this number.
