Proclamation of 1763
The Proclamation of 1763 was an acted passed to keep the colonist from expanding westward past the Appalachian Mountains. It was also designed to reduce tension between the Natives and the English. The American colonist were unhappy about this act because those who already settled West, had to move back East of the Appalachian. -
Sugar Act
The Sugar Act was an acted passed to help pay for the debt after the French and Indian War. This act put taxes on molasses and rum.The colonist was upset about this act. Phrase " no taxation without representation came into play." -

The Stamp Act was an act placed on the colonist to pay for the French and Indian War. This act had taxes on items such as paper documents. The colonist response to this act was violently. They restored to mob violence to try to scare the collector to resign. Colonist also objected this act. -
Quartering Act
The Quartering Act was act passed that said colonist were required to house British soldiers. If there was no space in houses then you had to give them a barn, out houses and etc to stay. The colonist didn't like that they had to house the soldiers without their content . -
Declaratory Act
The Declaratory Act was an acted passed that said " British Parliament taxing authority was the same in America." This act was an attempt to still get the colonist to pay taxes and that they had the authority to assert their power whenever. Colonist response to this act was compromise. All thought they didn't like this act, they decided to compromise with England rather than appeal. -
Townshend Act
The Townshed Act was act passed to help pay for the French and Indian War. This act taxed goods that were imported to the American colonist. The colonist response to this act was boycotting.Colonist wouldn't purchase British goods. -
Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre was were British soldiers fired into a crowd of American colonist. 5 colonist were killed. The colonist retaliated by attacking British soldiers. This lead to the American Revolution -

The Tea Act was an act that lowered the tea tax. This lead to the monopoly on American tea trade. Colonist did not like Tea act because it was similar to the Townshend act. -
The Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea party was were American colonist lead by Samuel Adams dressed up as Indians and dumped 340 chest of tea into the Boston Harbor. Great Britain response to this was shutting down the port of Boston until they received payment for the tea they lost. -
Intolerable Acts
The Intolerable Acts was a series of Act that the British put on American colonist for dumping tea into the harbor. One of the acts shut down the importing of goods and another enhanced military power. The colonist became outraged
