Proclamation of 1763
Was made to keep pice with Indians and because Great Britain was broke but the colonist didn't like it so they disobeyed. -
Sugar Act
Colonist were been required to pay a tax of six pence per gallon on the importation of foreign molasses. And they weren't really happy with this better said they were angry. -
Stamp Act
This acted was made to tax on various things such as paper, legal documents, calendars, newspapers etc. The colonist weren't really happy with this so they started to protest the Stamp Act. -
Quartering Act
Was an act that said that troops had to live in barracks, but when they were full the colonist were expected to give them shelter. Which wasn't too popular with the colonist. -
Declaratory Act
This act was passed to get rid of the Stamp Act. This was meant to make the colonist that Parliament had a say in the acts but it didn't really convince the colonist -
Townshend Act
The government taxed the colonist on goods that were imported by American colonies. They taxed various things such as glass, paint, oils, lead, paper, etc. The colonist disliked this act and most started boycotting the imports and they rates dropped by 40%. -
Golden Hill Incident
A clash between the Sons of Liberty and the soldiers. This was one of the first g that lead to the American Revolution. -
Boston Massacre
Was a street fight that indicated as street argument of the colonist with the soldiers. Then a snowball was thrown by the colonist and then the shooting and everything started. -
Tea Act
Granted the British East India Company Tea a monopoly on tea sales in the American colonies which meant that the colonist couldn't by tea from others. The colonist were not happy with this and it ended with the rebellion of the Boston Tea Party. -
Boston Tea Party
Lead by Samuel Adams some colonist thew tea off the cargo ships that came form Britain in protest of the Tea Act -
Boston Port Act
was made to punish inhabitants of Boston. (was a part of the intolerable acts) -
Administration of Justice Act
Was made to insure fair trails or British officials who were charged with capital offenses while upholding the law or quelling protests in Massachusetts Bay Colony. -
Association of Continental Congress
Boycotte is threatened against Great Britain since they are taxing too much.
