Scientific Revolution
Refers to historical changes in thought & belief, that unfolded in Europe between roughly 1550-1700; beginning with Nicholas Copernicus (1473-1543), who asserted a heliocentric (sun-centered) cosmos, it ended with Isaac Newton (1642-1727), who proposed universal laws and a Mechanical Universe. Galileo also contributed mainly with astronomical observations. The outcomes were new was of thinking, more knowledge obtained, and the population gained better information. -

Englightement
A movement of the 17th and 18th centuries in Europe where ideas concerning God, reason, nature, and humanity were synthesized into a worldview that gained wide assent in the West and that instigated revolutionary developments in art, philosophy, and politics. The goals of rational humanity were considered to be knowledge, freedom, and happiness.
Philosophers like John Locke, Montesquieu and Voltaire were really important at the time. -

It refers to the fight the American people fought to gain Independence from the British. It ocurred in the área of the 13 colonies. George Washington (Battle Commander), Benjamin Franklin (Politician) and Samuel Adams (Politician) were some of the characters that participated in the Revolution. The outcome was the Independence of the country, new laws and rights for their citizens. -

Was a period of ideological, political and social movement in the political history of France and Europe,the people of France were unhappy with the absolute monarchy that ruled them unfairly. Some characters were Louis XVI (the tyrant) Maria Antonieta (Louis Wife) and Voltair who influenced a new way of thinking for the French People. It costed many lives both nobleman and common, and it served as a new era in the history of France both in laws, policies and rights. -

Napoleonic Empire
It refers to the time period that Napoleon was emperor in France. During his reign the French won many important battles and wars against other civilizations. Napoleon was known for being a good battle commander although not as good as a ruler, he died on 1821 on St. Helena. Some characters were Napoleón (the ruler) his brother Joseph (also a ruler) and her wife Maria Louisa of Austria.
The outcomes were the loss of people,a new sense of nationalism and a weak France after he lost. -
