    With Indian independence people had to decide where to go between India and Pakistan since they divided. With millions moving and violence among the religious groups, the dispute of Kashmir continued.

    With the sympathy of Jews, the U.N recommends the division of Palestine for more land, which leads to the creation of Israel. However, this creation leads to the Arab-Israeli war in 1948.

    The Berlin Airlift was when American and British officials flew in supplies to West Berlin for 11 months, because the Soviet Unioin cut off all traffic and water. After this, the Soviets lifted the blockade.

    NATO was a defensive alliance formed due to the fears of the Soviet aggression. NATO included 12 nations, including the U.S and Canada.
