This is when Egypt started farming. This started before Egypt was a kingdom. When I use the loose term "farming" I mean the development of domesticated crops and animals. quatr.us/egypt/economy/farming.htm

This is the year when the Yelllow river civilization is estimated to be founded. It is later than the rest as it is the farthest away from Africa which is the supposed place of where humans started out. It may also be because only ten percent of the river is fertile for crops.

This is estimated to be the year that the Indus valley civilization became an ancient nation. This civilization is special as it developed its farming around the same time it developed itself. We do not know much about them as most ancint civilizations due to time or not understanding the language.

This is estimated to be the time when people started farming in the Indus valley. Most civiliztions started farming before actually becoming civilizations, this one is different as it developed agriculture as it turned into an ancient nation. By "farmers" I mean that they developed an advanced form of agriculture including the farming of crops and domestication of animals.

This is when the Indus valley people integrated a monetary system. All they had was trade between themselves and other countries. It is said that they had silver stamps which may have been used as a currency.

It is said in my source that they used cowrie shells as a monetary system. It did not state what year this started. I assumed that once they had their kingdom set up they would soon start their currency. I am not sure though. I make this assumption because even though the yellow river civilization was far behind, they soon adapted some form of currency as some places had at the time

This is the time when cuniform started in ancient Sumer. Cuniform is an interesting language because it started off as pictures, and eventually turned into a complex series of lines and arrows. This is one of the most drastically changing languages, at least in form.

This is when Egypt was trading. before it was unified by pharos it was 2 seperate kingdoms. So it is reasonable to assume that trade began then as I could not find a definate date.

The first known long distance trade was completed at this time. The trade was between the Mesopotamians and the indus valley people. It is thought that the traders were carrying valuable resources as why else would they go so far.

According to my source the rich first started accumulating currency around this time. They probably started their currency because it is easier to keep track of coins instead of goods. It was also approved by the government because it was easier to tax on.

This is the year when hieroglyphics was estimated to start. Hieroglyphics are an interesting language too as they seen to be more ideographic rather than phonographic. Hieroglyphics were a writing used for religious purposes, like decorating a pharaohs grave.

This is the time when writing began in the yellow river civilization. It is pondered upon why they didn't start their language earlier. I theorise that at the time it was a small civilization and that they had no reason to have it before this point.

This is the time when farming started on the yellow river. It was very hard to find good farmland in this area, only ten percent is usable. This meant that it took longer for the civilization to reach this point. Even though once they found the spot where all the minerals wash up from the river it waas a perfect spot for farming.

At 500 BCE Egyptians made their money system. before that though there was bartering. I assume that they put currency into place because it is a lot easier to tax a coin than to tax a grain.

This is the time China started the silk road, the date is approximate to when the yellow river started trade. So in order to find a rough estimate I looked up when the silk road had started, which was used almost exclusively for trade. https://sites.google.com/site/1ancientcivilizationsforkids/ancient-china
