The Source This war had four countires involing its battle. It was the french, british, turkish, and the russians. This war mainly came about due to the russians forcing turkish subjects to practice protection. So it was the force of diffrent religoin that made this conflict happen. -
Second Opium War
The Source This war was between the birtish empire, the french, and the Qing Dynasty. Basically the british and the united states already had a trade for imports going for 112 years. So they wanted to expand their imports over to China. However they felt no need for foriegn trade or goods. Well in October of 1856, the chinese seased a british vessel which stired up everything for the war to happen. tThis was called the arrow insident. -
Indian rebellion
The Source The Indian rebellion was a critical time in the east india region. They were trying to gain independence on their own. But the british thought they could reorganize the army and their land. Also to help with financle aid and import goods. However the british ending up winning this battle, with them directly governed by the crown as the new British Raj. -
Second Italian War Of Independence
The Source The war was faught between the second french empire, and the Kingdom of Sardinia against the austria empire. This was a key event in the procees of the Italian unification. After the first defeat by the austrian empire, they new they needed allies defending them. The war was mainly for them to gain their independence back from the first defeat. -
Paraguayan War
The Source Another name for this war is the war of the triple alliance. It carried about 400,00 deaths, along with the highest ration of fatalities in south america. In Brazil however, it brought an end to slavery. It also become south america's weathlest place by the 20th century. But it took decades for the Paragyuan to recover from the choas and destruction caused by their alliance.
