The aboriginals immigrated from native Africa to Australia.When they reached shore they built boats so they could come across to the unknown land(Australia).At that time they didn't know if they would hit land or they would just keep on sailing,finally they reached Australia. -

Captain James Cook discovered Australia, at that time a name reserved for Australia was New Holland.The main reason why they sent convicts on the first fleet to Australia was because too many people were jobless at that time and started stealing.As America declared independence they had no place to dump the convicts.The thought that Australia was a good place to dump them because it was an island so no one could escape. -

British settlers used to kill and/or harm the indigenous.They would cover up the massacres and pretend it didn't happen in the first place.As a result to the British having an advantage in weapons, many indigenous were seriously harmed and/or killed while not many British people were killed, let alone harmed. -

The stolen generation was a generation of aboriginal or 'half caste' kids being taken from their family. They would be sent to institutions or be fostered by a white family to learn the ways of a respectable white person. Sometimes when the children didn't get adopted, they had to do cheap labor for a white family when they turned 14 years of age. -

Mungo ladies bones were discovered near lake Mungo,she was ritually buried,she was alive 40000 to 42000 years ago,which is the oldest remains of a human found in Australia.She is also one of the oldest modern human beings found in the world. -
Mungo man bones discovered
The bones of mungo man were discovered shortly after the discovery of mungo lady, he was 6 foot tall which was very tall for an average man back 45000 years ago -
Sorry Day started
Sorry day is a day when people look back at all the wrongdoings of the British people.It is a day when Australians can remember the grief that some Indigenous people faced,the sorrow the Indigenous parents faced when their children were taken away from them in the stolen generation.Some Indigenous children would never see their biological parents again. -
Sorry speech
Kevin Rudd (prime minister at that time) made a speech saying sorry for the wrongdoings of the settlers to the Indigenous people. The whole of Australia was watching the speech,everyone was on the verge of tears some even crying.The whole entire time people were realising that the Indigenous had been harmed more than we thought, emotionally and physically. -
