    COMPUTERS IN THE WHITE HOUSE
    The first computers were installed in the White House in 1978. During President Carter's presidency the computer, Hewlett-Packard HP3000, was installed and the staffers were granted access to this while another computer, Xerox Alto, was installed in the White House.
  • LASER DISK

    LASER DISK
    The laser disk was revealed by MCA and Philips and was introduced as “Discovision." The movie Jaws was the first movie on a laser disc sold in North America. Laser discs were particularly expensive for buyers.
  • MICROSOFT WORD

    MICROSOFT WORD
    Microsoft introduces a word program called Multi-Tool Word in 1983. This would later be called Microsoft Word. It had a competitor called WordPerfect untill Multi-Tool Word became Microsoft Word in 1989 that it became a global standard.
  • GAMEBOY

    GAMEBOY
    In 1989, the company, Nintendo, releases the hand held gaming console, called Nintendo. It uses cartridges to play games on it's screen. The puzzle game, Tetris, helped its release and is one of the all time top selling gaming systems.
  • Photoshop

    Photoshop was created by the brothers, John and Thomas Knoll. The image editing program was published by Adobe Systems and was the most popular software program. Before that it was used for special effects and movies such as the Abyss. Adobe then saw its potential and bought a licence for it and released it on February 19, 1990.

    On September 9, 2015 Sony released the Playstation in North America. It was initially released in Japan about two months earlier. Sony wanted a system that would support games and audio CD playback. The playstationsold more than one hundred million units.
  • Camera Phone

    The first camera phone was released in November 2000 by the company SoftBank in Japan. It was called the J-Phone J-SH04 and had a maximum resolution of 0.11 megapixels a 256-color display. The pictures were also able to be shared wirelessly and it quickly became popular.

    MySpace was founded on August 1st, 2003 by Chris DeWolfe and Tom Anderson who worked for eUniverse. In 2005, it became a major socail network sight with almost one hundred million users. Following Friendster, MySpace helped define social networking.

    Alexa gets a DS
    Alexa Nicole recieved her first DS from her mother on her birthday, September 22, 2007. This was her first electronic toy. She later got upgraded to a DSi in December 2009 for Christmas.
  • IPad

    IPad
    The first IPad was released by Apple on April 3, 2010. It has most of the capabilities as an IPhone such as a high definition camera, ITunes Store, and audio video capabilities. The majors differences is that it is not a ohone and has a much larger display. The apps and numerous capabilities helped make the IPad popular.

    In 2013, Abby signs up on facebook, and this is her first social media she has begun to use.

    On October 1, 2012 Facebook has gained one billion followers, that is about every one in seven people. Mark Zuckerberg is the founder Facebook and stated how important it was to him to connect one billion people together.
