The Great Depression was when a lot of men and women lost their jobs. The stock market crashed, called Black Tuesday. People lost a lot of their money and even their homes. -
The New Deal
The new deal was about making new jobs. People need jobs to earn money. People were poor and needed help due to the Great Depression. President Franklyn D. Roosevelt started the programs to try to get the US out of the Great Depression. -
Attack on Peal Harbor
The Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, after this occurred, the President of the United States declared war. This began the United States involvement in World War II. -
Atomic Bomb Dropping on Japan
The bomb was dropped on Japan to end World War II. Two bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
