    Travis tells Eckels and the 2 other hunters about the rules of the trip, then they enter the time machine and begin their journey.
    Mostly stating to "Not to shoot any animals they don't OKAY."

    As they are waiting, the instructors inform the men that can can NOT leave the path they made for them because it could risk the outcome of the future. Then they travel back 62,200,055 years back.

    When the hunters and instructors finnally spot the T-rex they are supposed to kill, Eckels gets scared and runs off the track.

    Travis become angry because Eckels did that, threatens to leave him, and makes him go dig out the bullets of the dinosaur.
    "Get out on the path alone. You're not coming back in the machine. We're leaving you here!"

    When they get back there is a strange odor in the air, the sign in the lobby is misspelled, and a different person won the election.
    "But the immediate thing was the sign painted on the officie wall, the same sign he had read earlier today on first entering."

    Travis kills Eckels.
    "He did not move. Eyes shut, he waited, shivering. He heard Travis breathe loud in the room; he heard Travis shift his rifle, click the safety catch, and raise the weapon.
    There was a sound of thunder."
