Matt and Tabby meet for the first time
Tabby had just moved in across the street from Matt. Her father, Steve, brought her over to the Wainwrights when both Matt and her were only a few months old. They've been best friends ever since. -
Matt begins to fall in love with Tabby
At the beginning of the 7th grade and Matt and Trip, his other best friend, were playing wiffle ball outside of Matt's house. The boys, hitting the balls as hard as they could, pretended that they were in the major leagues using a "corked bat". Tabby came outside and Matt felt a sudden urge to impress her, he felt desperate for her to watch him. -
Matt begins to fall more in love with Tabby
Matt and Tabby, sitting in Matt's driveway, had an encounter with Corey Sheridan. He lives in their neighborhood and is two grades ahead of them. Tabby stood up to him, which saved both herself and Matt from endless harassment. -
Matt is in love with Tabby
The same day they played wiffle ball and stood up to Corey, Tabby and Matt sat on the couch watching "Return of the Jedi", their favorite Star Wars movie. -
The beginning of freshman year
Freshman year had just started, and Matt and Tabby would always ride the bus together. However on this day, things changed. Matt caught Liam Branson, a senior, picking up Tabby to take her to school. Their tradition had come to an end. -
Happy Halloween
Trick-or-treating, it's one of Matt and Tabby's favorite traditions. Matt's little brother, Murray, dressed up as an Eagle and forced Matt to be one with him as well. The two went trick-or-treating together along with Tabby. When they returned home, they continued their tradition of sorting out their candy. Tabby's absolute favorite is Nerds. -
Basketball Kickoff
Basketball season, Matt's favorite season of all, had started to kick off. His goal was to make varsity, but that didn't go as planned. -
Thanksgiving Day
It was Thanksgiving day and Tabby came over for Thanksgiving, just like old times. -
It's official
Tabby and Liam Branson, who Matt can't stand even though he's a genuinely kind, charming guy, are officially dating. -
Merry Christmas
It was a little after Christmas day, and Tabby came over to the Wainwrights to exchange gifts with them. Matt, Murray and their mother each got Tabby something, and she got them something in return. -
Happy New Year
Tabby and her father had left to go visit her Grandma... this was the last Matt had heard from Tabby. -
The day everything changed
January first, the last day things were normal for Matt, his family, Liam, and the entire high school. A tragic event affected Matt more than anyone. He changes for the worse, but later for the better. -
A Trip to Grandma and Grandpas
After the terrible accident, Matt left to get away from the world for a while and stayed with his grandparents. He had been taking his anger out on his teachers, friends, and family, and his parents thought that this would be the best thing for him. He helped out around and house and got to spend quality time with his family, it gave him time to clear his head. After some time and some wise words from his Grandpa, Matt began to accept the accident and made amends with those who he had hurt.
