Brann falls from the tower

130 BCE

Bran Stark witnessed Cersei and Jaime Lannister together in the Tower. Jaime pushed Bran out of the window intending to kill him. Luckily, Bran survived the fall, but he is now paralysed from the waist down.

Jon Arryn Dies

130 BCE

Jon Arryn, Hand of the King, was poisoned. Robert Baratheon rode north with his family to ask Ned Stark to be the new Hand of the King. Ned reluctantly accepted. The arrangement was to be sealed with the marriage of Joffrey Baratheon and Sansa Stark.

Catelyn Stark tries to warn Ned

130 BCE

Aften Brans assassination attempt, his mother, Catelyn Stark, comes to understand that they are in great danger and the Lannisters wish to silence them. She leaves winter fell to warn Ned who is in kings landing.

Someone tries to assassinate Bran

130 BCE

To prevent Bran from telling anyone what he saw in the tower. The Lannisters send an assassin to kill Bran in his sleep. During the attempt, Brans dire wolf senses the intruder and fights him off.

Ned Stark is killed

129 BCE

Ned Stark is executed for treason.

Ned discovered that the kings children are illigitimate

129 BCE

While reading through old archived Ned discovers that Prince Joffrey isn't the true heir to the throne. Queen Cercei and King Robert Baratheon share no children as all their heirs are illegitimate. (This is what Bran realised in the tower when Cercei was with his brother Jamie). Ned planned to tell Robert, but he was killed by a bore on a hunting trip.

Joffrey was crowned king

129 BCE

After Roberts death, Joffrey Baratheon was crowned King. Ned wrote to Stannis Baratheon(Roberts brother) telling him that he was the rightful heir but Petyr Baelish told the Lannisters of Ned’s betrayal. Ned was persuaded to pledge support for Joffrey in return for his life. Joffrey, however, ordered his immediate execution by beheading

Rob Stark was proclaimed King in the North

129 BCE

Robb Stark(Ned son) called out the Stark bannermen to avenge his father’s death and was proclaimed King in the North.

The war of the five Kings

129 BCE

As Rob Stark goes to was against the Lannister. Both of Roberts brothers go to war claiming their right to the throne. Balon Greyjoy, King of the Iron Islands also joined the war.
And now, five different kings all lay a claim to the Iron Throne.

Danaerys Targaryen is married away to khal Drogo

129 BCE

On the other side of the world, Viserys Targaryen gave his sister Daenerys in marriage to the leader of the Dothraki, Khal Drogo, in return for help to invade Westeros and retake the Iron Throne. Viserys is the true heir, as the Targaryens have ruled for centuries.

Daenarys is gifted three dragon eggs

129 BCE

Daenarys is gifted three dragon eggs as a marriage gift. People don't believe their reals, as dragons have been extinct for over a hundred years.

Viserys is killed

128 BCE

As Daenarys and Viserys live among the Dothraki, Daenarys does her best to learn the culture and the language. Viserys is mean and asks for too much and is killed by the Dothraki. They pour a bucket of boiling gold on his head.

Daenarys is pregnant

128 BCE

Daenarys has gotten pregnant, as a child was promised in the marriage. Khal Drogo falls ill, Daenarys find a witch who can heal him. He strives but is left in a vegetative state.

Daenerys walks into the fire

Daenerys wishes to burn Khal Drogos body on a fire to let his soul rest. She walks into the fire with her three dragons eggs. Everyone thinks she's mad and they are certain she will die.

Daenerys survives the fire

To everyones surprise, Daenerys survives the fire and comes out the next morning with three baby dragons. She is a "true dragon", someone who cannot be hurt by fire. She is now the mother of dragons and has introduced the world to dragons for the first time in over a hundred years.
