The 1970's saw the introduction of VHS (and its competitor Betamax), which allowed people to record shows and record shows. -
DVD
In 1997 the DVD was launched, and completely changed the home video landscape. The format offered better picture and sound, and eventually killed off video tape. -
Flat Screen TV (Plasma/LCD)
2000's saw the breakthrough of the flat screen format, which allowed for a reduction in weight versus the old curved screen model. -
3D TV
2010 bought the cinema into your lounge room with the inception of the 3D television.
