Helped end feaudalism in France. It changed the whole government in Franch and cause the civilians and government officials to change their way of thinking -
Haitian Revolution
Haiti was deeply disrupted by the governmental rule by France. The people revolted with leader Toussaint L'Ouverture. The revolution took 12 years but Haiti succeded. It was an incredible victory over Napolean, Paved way for other revlolutions, and made Toussaint one of the most successful black commanders. -
Independence of Mexico
The independence was started by father Hidalgo. And stressed a rapid decrease of political involvement. This was important for future southern spanish speaking countries to help gain their independence. -
Congress of Viena
Settled the problem of boundaries in Europe. Helped adapt future policies for problems in the continent. And also restored monarchies. -
Opium War
Britain wanted many goods from China. Like barley and other grains, but China would only buy Opium from Britain. However Opium was illegal at the time. They fought these wars so China would legalize opium and so Britain could make some money off of China. -
Communist Mannifesto
The Communist Manifesto was a book written by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. This expressed many radical ideas and thoughts. This book was incredibly influential to communist leaders like Stalin and Hitler. -
Commodore Matthew Perry
Brought in a historical treaty that opened up trade into China. Ports were previously closed so that China would stay to its ways. China was content by itself before this period. -
Sepoy Mutiny
This occured after many events leading up to this war. Like the development of the East India Trading Company. The British came in thinking they could take over;. However India forced them away. This added another decline of Britain. And now seemingly raise of India. -
Unification of Germany
Boundary wise the unification of Germany was correct but as it became unfied there became a battle for power, which led to many wars and eventually the ruling of the Nazis. -
Berlin Conference
Divided the continent of Arica into multiple different sections. Many european countries were represented here and Africa wasn't. It caused many wars throughout Africa that are still being fought today. -
Russo-Japanese War
The Japanese and Russians went to war over Korea. Japan was a huge underdog in the war. Japan won control of Korea and it marked the first time a non-western power over took over a western legacy. This war made Japan a powerhouse. -
Zulu Uprising
The largest tribe in frica was fed up with British tax and rule and decided to rebel. The Zulu were no match for the British numbers and weapons. More than 3000 zulu people were killed and over 7000 imprisoned. -
Dr. Sun Yat-sen
When Dr. Sun Yat-sen takes over China it was the first time in 4000 years that dynasties no longer ruled. Came into power after the horrible demise of the Qing Dynasty.
