    Britain developed a "victory" plan. That plan was to march on Albany from 3 directions and beat the Americans. Completing this would give the British control of the Hudson River, meaning they could cut off supplies to all of the colonies. 2 of the 3 armies attacked without the third. The colonists, led by Benedict Arnold, ended up surrounding the British and defeating them, this is the turning point in the war because before France only supplied money, after this they became official allies.

However, the French, America's allies, removed the British ships off the coast at the end of August. Washington led his troops with the French to trap Cornwallis, forcing a surrender after 3 weeks. On October 19, the American and French lined up facing each while the British walked shamefully through the middle. Marking the end of the American Revolution.
