The text message
Invented in 1992 by Neil Papworth. He was a former developer at Sema Group Telecoms. Richard Jarvis was the first person to receive a text message. This was a time where cell phones didn't have keyboards. The messages were sent by PC.
It seems like we never even use phone calls anymore. A text message is the number one way to communicate in today's world. It is fast and convenient. -
The DVDs
The replacement for VHS, DVD (short for "digital video disc") was developed in 1995 and released in 1996. This was a better option than getting the video tape caught into your VHS player. -
Nintendo 64
The Nintendo 64 was released in Japan. It was the first console with an analog stick. It took gaming to a whole other level. It allowed the precision and aim to be controlled like never before -
GOOGLE
Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin met in 1995 at Stanford University. In 1996, the two were writing a program for a search engine called Backrub, and after the success of this platform, Brin and Page registered the domain name Google.com in 1997. -
Sony Playstation
On December 3, 1994, Sony released the first PlayStation in Japan. This was a console with a huge step up in graphics than the Nintendo 64.
