King George's War

The Message
George Washington carries Virginia's ultimatum over French and encroachment to Captain Legardeur de Saint-Pierre at Riviere aux Boeufus. He rejects it. -
The First Battle
Washington defeats the French in a surprise attack. HIs troops retread to Great Meadows and builds Fort Necessity. -
Fort Necessity is attacked
The French and thier allies attacked Fort Necessity on July 3, 1754. Washington retreated to Virginia and the French and Indian War had begun. -
Braddock's Defeat
The British sent General Edward Braddock and two regiments to Virginia. On his way he was defeated and killed. -
New Secretary of State
Britain had a new secretary of state, William Pitt, who was determined to win the war in the colonies. -
Battle of Quebec
One day when the French awoke, British were lined up on the plains. The French comander died so Quebec surrendered. -
Pact
Spain made a pact in 1761 to Aid France, but this help came too late. -
War Ends
The Proclamation of 1763 was signed and war was ended. -
Treaty of Paris
When the Seven Year War ended the Treaty of Paris was signed, which nearly ended all French control in North America and dramaticaly expanded Britan's colonial empire.
