The Play Years

Psychosocial Play Years
By this age I started to realize boys and girls. My boy cousins played with cars and the girl cousins played more girl toys such as barbies. At this age I started having more and more play dates with my cousins. -

I began to expand my diet in a "healthy way" at that time I remember eating my vegetables such as carrots, celery in a fun way with peanut butter or ranch dip. -

At this point in my language all I would ask is Why? Also decision making was important a lot of "no" even if I wanted to do something if I had a choice I wanted to be in charge. -

I was in preschool where I really started to get fine motor skills such as cutting with scissors or finger painting. -

My parents had a parenting style by my play years. The parenting style my parents had was authoritative parenting. My parents always had rules and what they said went, but I was always explained everything. -

I began Kindergarten at Randolph Elementary, previously I did attend Preschool at Jackson Center. In Kindergarten I began to write letters and was able to write my name. -

The School Years

Biosocial School Years
At this age I started doing more and more physical activites. I joined a t-ball team and a soccer team. Also I began to ride a bicycle down my street and got lots of exercise. -

In elementary school I remember really started to do multiplication tables. This challenged math and your memory skills. -

In my elementary school we did Jump Rope For Heart encouraging children to exercise to keep their heart healthy. -

At this age I remember wanting to be like my sister and her friends, and really trying to imitate her. -

In the end of elementary school we were introduced to instruments and foreign language. This I remember was the first real challenge for me in school. -

Near the end of elementary school I really remember when bullying really started. I remember sticking up for a girl because she was always left out of the playground activites. -

I started to even out a little, I hit a growth spurt at this age. I began to even out and started to grow out of the "baby" look a little. -

At this age I believed everyone noticed what I was wearing, I was concerned about wearing the same things within 2 weeks of each other. -

In the beginning of high school I felt like I wanted to be part of a group so I joined my youth group at church. -

At the beginning of high school I had the invincibility fable. I thought nothing bad could really happen to me, I wanted to loose weight so I started not eating. Luckly I only did this for a very short period of time and did not become serious. -

At this time I decided what kind of people I wanted to be friends with, I chose a type of "group" and hung out with similar people that were involved in things I wanted to be with. -

I realized at this age I had stopped growing so it was time to start to really work out to maintain my weight, so I began running and did a 5k. -

I started my second year at Schoolcraft college to learn more about my future career. -

Started Eastern Michigan University where I will be in the school of education and will be taking classes to teach me about different perspectives. -

At this point I probably will start a family of my own, being close with my immediate family. Starting my new family will lead to me to having my own home. -

I plan to retire but still stay actively involved by volunteering occasionally at the school I would have worked at. -

I predict I may have osteoporosis when I am older, because it is common in my family and I do not drink enough calcium. -

This is the age I predict I would die. On my quiz I took it said 93, I do predict a few years earlier. I plan if possible to donate my organs. I hope to go peacefully.
