The hiring of Sacagawea
Lewis and Clark hire a french trapper and his 17 year old wife, Sacagawea. She was able to translate languages and track things, She was a very big help. -
fork in the river
The expedition comes to a fork in the Missourri River. Everybody thought the north route was the real Missourri River, But Lewis and Clark thought the south Passage was the correct one. Half the group went north half went south. Lewis and Clark went south and they were correct. -
Reaching the Atlantic Ocean
The Corps of Discovery reached the Atlantic Ocean. They traveled 4,162 miles. They stayed the Winter at Fort Clatsop. -
Journey Home
Corps of Discovery heads back to St. Louis Missourri. -
Fork in the River the second time
Group reaches fork in the river again Lewis went one direction to explore, Clark went the opposite direction to explore. -
