the caling of the estates general
the legislative body consisting of repesentitives of the three estates before any changes. a french king had not called the estates genreral for 175 years fearing that the nobles would use it to recover the fuederal powers they had lost under abosolute rule. to reform minded nobles. the estates general seemed to offer a chance of carrying out changes like those that had come with the glorious revolution in england.they hoped they could bring absolute monarch under the control of the nobles. -
storming the bastille
on july 14 1789 the city of paris seized the spotlight from the national assembly meeting in versailles. the streets buzzed with rumors that royal troops were going to occupy the capitol. over 800 parisians occupyed the outside of the bastille the crowd demanded weapons and gunpowder. the commander refused and opened fire on the group. this action resulted in the storming of the bastille. -

feuderalism is abolised announced the proud and weary delagates at 2 am also in late august as a first step of writing a costitution the assembly issued a delaration of rights of man.also the women march on versailles. -
deficit spending
in 1789 paris was split into three estates. the first estate was made up of the the clergy. the second estate was made up of the nobility, and the third estate was made up of the rest of the population of france. the first and second estate enjoyed a thing called deficit spending. this meant they could get what they want when they wanted with the governments money and would not have to pay them back. instead the third estate piad back te wages the first and second estate made. -

the tensions of paris that lead to violence resulted in the abolishment of the monarchy. after that theradicals took control and executed the king. -
