    U.S election of 1932 was a change. After the Stock Market Crash in 1929, America needed help, and fast. The current President, Mr. Herbert Hoover’s approach was not well liked among Americans, so we would take any chance we could to see some change in our country. Franklin Delano Roosevelt used Hoover’s dislike by the country and his “failures” against him in order to win this presidential election. With the proposal of is new deal he won America’s votes in a heartbeat.

    On the morning of January 30, 1933 President Hindenburg of Germany appoints Adolf Hitler to the position of Chancellor in the German government.

    The Reichstag was burnt to the ground by Communists. This was Hitler’s excuse to expand his power; he declared the burning of the Reichstag a state of emergency. Soon after he became the dictator of Germany. This event is seen as a key in the establishment of Nazi Germany.

    One of Hitler’s major foreign policy acts was to sign a ‘nonaggression pact’ with Poland in January. Many German’s didn’t agree with Hitler’s move, but he continued with it in order to defuse the possibility of a French- Polish military alliance against Germany before Germany had a chance to get itself back up to their standards.

    It was a late night on June 30, 1934, when Hitler's boday guards carried out a series oof murders that Hitler deemed necessary. All of the people who were killed were closely intertwined with with the SA, which was the rival group of the Nazi party. Once these killings were complete Hitler made an announcement the next morning stating that the one who were killed were enemies of Germany and they needed to be killed

    After the elections of 1936 a military revolt against the Spanish government was to occur that no one would see coming. This attack was led by rebel Nationalists and was also supported by the clergy, military, and landowners. This was very significant because the war was considered to be the “Proxy War” or a dry run for what is soon to be World War Two.

    On March 12, 1938 German troops invaded Austria at Hitler’s command. The Austrian people loved Hitler and immediately announced Austria would become a part of Germany. Laws and such were also applied during the Seizure of Austria.

    Every year Hitler and his “veteran soldiers” who belonged to the National Socialist Party would gather to remember the “failed putsch on November 9, 1923. Hitler’s speech always began at 8:30, making it easier for someone to take a shot at him, except this time was different. Hitler decided to start his speech at 8:00 and ended at about 9:07. If only Johann George Elser knew that. He had supposedly set a bomb to go off at 9:20, nine people were killed but luckily for Hitler he was gone.

    Known as the “Winter War” the Soviet Union with all their force attacked Finland. The Soviet Union invaded Finland after their government issued its demands for access to Finland’s military bases. The Soviet Union did not know was that the Finnish army put up a heavy defense and broke the Soviet offensives. Although the Soviet Union had almost double the military forces as Finland, Finland broke through. After the U.S.S.R’s leader, Joseph Stalin, killed the morale of their military

    Soviet Union expelled from the League of Nations
    The League of Nations formally expelled the Soviet Union from the organization for Soviet acts of aggression against Finland. They deemed the attack illegal and expelled the Soviet Union without any further thought.
