This was the very first English colony, and was founded by Raleigh. It had 100 households, 90 men, 17, women, and 9 kids. This settlement lasted for 10 months before it went missing -

These laws placed new taxes on glass, lead, paints, paper, and tea. Eventualy all the taxes were apealed except for the tax on tea. -
Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre was the killing of 5 colonists by British soldiers, who where being taunted by the colonists. -
Boston Tea Party
Because the tax on tea was so high the colonists wasnted nothing to do with it. So some of the colonists dressed up like Native Americans and borded a couple ships carring tea and dumpped 45 tons of tea into the Boston Harbor. -
First Continental Congress
The first Continental Congress was held in Philidelphia. 12 of the 13 colonys sent delegates, they were gathering to try and right the wrongs England had done to them. -

Thomas Paine wrote the pamphlet called Common Sence was an instant best seller. The pamphlet said that it is common sence that the colonys get their independence from Britian, because the colonys were so far away from England and because they were already basicly a country. -

Treaty of Paris formally ended the Revolutionary war. It established U.S. boundaries, specified certain fishing rights, allowed creditors of each country to be paid by citizens of the other, and opened up the Mississippi to both nations. -
