Struggle for Ohio Valley
What Happened A mixture of French and First Peoples forced the british colinists out of the Ohio Valley. Effect This was the starting point of the grudge of the French and British. I think that after the battle the French had a lot of confidence going into the next battle. Who Won French -
Kicking Out The Acadians
What Happened: The british KIcked the Acadians of their home and made them watch as they burned it down. Today it is called Nova Scotia. Effect: This was the starting point of the 7 years war. The Britsh had redeemed themselves because they had suffered an attack before. -
German Flats
What Happened: Using a native style sneak attack (quick and hard) The French attack the settlement along the border of the Ohio Valley also known as the German flats now a days its called Herkimer, New York. The effect of thid their was 5 wounded, 40-50 killed and 150 captured Effect
The french had already sufered an attack against the french. This had boosted their confidence. -
seige of Louisburg
The weather conditions were bad the first week of the attck wich made it imposible for the british to land their boats. 14,000 british attacked the shores of the french base. Sucsesfully the fench defences held up and forced wolfe to retraeat. The french won the battl at held their ground.
Effect: After the battle in the spring the british were able to go to Qubec. -
Attack at Lac Champlain
The british have brought 16000 troops and out numbered the British 4 to 1, but the French are prepared they have snipers to pin the British down. The British are forced to retreat and lose the battle.
Effect: The had been able to defeat a battle that they were for sure going to lose this made them feel unstopable. -
New Brunswick
what happened: The british planned an attack on fort Beausejour New Brunswick. They also attacked lakes at lake Champlain, Niagara fort Duquesne on the Ohio River.
when: this happened in September 1758 the british goal was to kick the french out of the Ohio Valley. The French had won that battle.
Effect: I think that the french won because the British were making bad disetions because they had won the battle at Lac Champlain and they felt unstopable. -
River Fire
One of the defence strategies of the French was to use fire ships and send them in the dirction of attacking fleets. The french when into action in the night of June 28 1759. There were seven ships left in the haurbor so the french took advantage and burning with fire ships. The ship when off to early so the result was that no ships were burned! Effect: The french must have been very mad because they had a very simple plan and they failed. -
Attack on the beauport shore
What Happened:
Whe the British arived on 26 on the northern shore Wolfe observed the shore of the St Lawrence River around the Beauport shore. The British landed on the north shore 1.2 km east the montmorency falls. This camp was used to plan the battle.The French were victorious and their were 210 soldiers were killed and 233 were wounded.
Effect: The French had the home advantage and had defeated the brits. This mde them happy and boosted their confidence. -
Planins Of Abraham
What Happened: The british under the command of Major General James Wolfe. Wolfe brought in 9000 men to the Plains Of Abraham. Effect: On the Plains Of Abraham Montcalm (France) suffered a defeat and Qubec surenders. James Wolfe died on The Plains Of Abraham by a gun shot wound. France had lost their general at the last battle of the seven years war. -
Treaty of Paris
After the British had victory over France and spain with portugal During the seven years war. The sighning of the treaty formally ended the seven years war. The treaty did not involve prussia and Austria. Affect: This was the formal ending of the seven years war!
