Columbus left Spain
Columbis departed Spain looking for riches and spices in India. He sailed with 3 ships named the Nina. the Pinta, and the Santa Maria. -
Colony of Jamestown Settled
People from the Virginia Compony sailed to the New World to settle Jamestown. The settlement did not go well the first year as many colonists died of starvation and from Native Attacks. Jonh Smith and Pochahontas are famous historacl figures associated with Jamestown. -
Plymouth Colony
Pilgrims sailed over on the ship the Mayflower and settled at Plymouth seeking religious freedom. Important events in Plymouth include the creation of the Mayflower Compact, the first Thanksgiving, and peace with the Native Americans. -
